Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Vokala ("we", "us", "our"), an AI voice receptionist service operated by Resumost Pty Ltd (ABN 53 615 908 257), Australia. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Vokala provides an AI voice receptionist ("Ava") that answers phone calls forwarded to Vokala-assigned phone numbers, handles enquiries according to your configuration, books appointments into connected calendars, and delivers call summaries via your chosen notification channels.
- You keep your existing business phone number. Call forwarding is configured by you on your own phone system or carrier.
- Vokala assigns you a dedicated Australian phone number that receives your forwarded calls.
- Ava identifies herself as an AI assistant at the start of each call.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old or acting on behalf of a business.
3. Plans, trials and billing
- Free trial. New customers receive a 14-day free trial on their first subscription. No charge is made during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically.
- Subscriptions. Plans are billed monthly in Australian dollars (AUD), inclusive of GST. Business plans are billed per seat.
- Included minutes and overages. Each plan includes a monthly minute allowance. Usage beyond the allowance is billed at the per-minute overage rate for your plan.
- Changes. You may upgrade, downgrade, or change plans at any time from your billing dashboard. Changes take effect with pro-rata adjustment.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. No refunds for partial months except as required by Australian Consumer Law or under our money-back guarantee.
- 60-day money-back guarantee. If Ava does not deliver value in your first 60 days, contact us for a refund of subscription fees paid in that period.
4. Fair use
The service is for receiving inbound customer calls for your business. You must not use Vokala for telemarketing, spam, harassment, or any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts engaged in abuse, fraud, or activity that degrades service quality for others.
5. Call recordings and AI disclosure
- Ava discloses that she is an AI assistant at the start of every call.
- Calls may be recorded and transcribed to provide summaries and improve accuracy. You are responsible for meeting any disclosure obligations that apply in your state or territory.
- You must not use the service to collect sensitive personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary for your business purpose.
6. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Vokala you consent to that handling.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Telephony depends on third-party carriers; we are not liable for carrier outages, nor for calls that fail to forward due to your phone or carrier configuration.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or dashboard notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
